The former Atletico Madrid man is currently having his longest run of games for the club, making nine appearances in the major competitions, while he was also named on the bench for the 5-1 win over Bolton in the Carabao Cup.

Thomas Partey will now miss Ghana’s AFCON qualifying double-header against Sudan this month, leaving the Black Stars in a desperate situation, after their poor start to the qualifiers, which has seen them pick up just one point from two games.
