Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, kept up the form that has seen them dominate at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup so far as they thrashed Ecuador 4-0 to reach the quarterfinals.

After their 4-1 win over New Zealand, which means they have six points from two matches with eight scored and one conceded, this victory was another good one.

Shakirat Moshood Is Leading the Way

The Flamingos got off to a strong start when Shakirat Moshood calmly converted a penalty in the 26th minute after captain Taiwo Afolabi was fouled in the box.

It was already a headline-maker, as Moshood had already struck one of the fastest goals in the tournament in their first match, and she did it again with her finishing prowess.

Harmony Chidi Add and Peace Effiong join the Tally.
