Okoye’s season has been remarkable, with Sofascore stats highlighting his excellence in key areas.

The 24-year-old has made the most saves from inside the box in Serie A, with 30 saves.

This places him ahead of notable names like Zion Suzuki (Parma, 29), Vanja Milinković-Savić (Torino, 28), and Stefano Turati (Monza) and Wladimiro Falcone (Lecce), who both have 25 saves.

Additionally, he leads in the difference between expected goals and goals conceded, demonstrating his ability to outperform expectations.

In 12 matches this season, he has conceded 18 goals and kept three clean sheets, showcasing his consistency ahead of Udinese’s clash against Empoli on November 25.

Speaking to popular radio personality AJSilver on X (formerly Twitter), Okoye shared his childhood connection to Rangers International:

“When I was younger, my dad used to come back from Nigeria with Rangers shirts when he visited, so that’s the only team I’ve supported from here. I heard they won the title last season, so I think they can do it again.”

Rangers, who claimed their 8th NPFL title last season, are now in pursuit of a historic 9th championship.
