Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has officially returned to Galatasaray in a sensational €75 million deal, making him the most expensive signing in Turkish football history. His compatriot and fellow striker Victor Boniface was among the first to celebrate the move publicly, posting the message “Let’s run it back” on Osimhen’s Instagram.
Osimhen, who spent a successful loan spell at Galatasaray last season, was unveiled on Wednesday night to a thunderous welcome by thousands of fans.
Accompanied by his girlfriend Stefanie Ladewig and daughter Hailey True, Osimhen’s return to Istanbul has already reignited excitement among supporters.
Boniface Sends Powerful Message

Following the announcement, Osimhen posted pictures celebrating the move, which prompted Boniface to reply with the four-word encouragement: “Let’s run it back.” He also shared a story captioned “Yes, broski,” showing his joy over Osimhen’s permanent move to Turkey.
The 26-year-old Nigerian scored 37 goals and provided 8 assists in 41 appearances during the 2024–25 campaign, helping Galatasaray to a domestic double, winning both the Süper Lig and Turkish Cup. His prolific form made him a fan favourite and sparked demands for his permanent signing.
Galatasaray paid €40 million upfront to Napoli, with €35 million in installments and €5 million in potential bonuses. Napoli also retained a 10% sell-on clause and barred Osimhen from joining another Serie A club until 2027. The striker signed a three-year contract worth up to €18 million per season.
This move underlines Galatasaray’s Champions League ambitions and reaffirms Osimhen’s position as one of Africa’s top footballing exports.
