Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly struck a £60 million agreement with Crystal Palace to sign midfielder Eberechi Eze.

According to a report by talksport, Spurs acted urgently after star playmaker James Maddison was ruled out for the season with a serious ACL injury, leaving a creative void in Thomas Frank’s squad.
Chairman Daniel Levy is said to have led intense negotiations to secure the 27-year-old England international, viewed as the ideal figure to inject flair and tempo into Tottenham’s midfield.
Palace Hold Out for Replacement
The transfer, however, hinged on Palace sourcing a suitable replacement. The Eagles are racing against time with the Premier League season already underway.
Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss has emerged as their top target, though the Foxes are demanding nearly £30 million, well above his recently expired £22m release clause. Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis is also being considered as an alternative.
Eze Signals Farewell at Selhurst Park
Eze has been a central figure at Selhurst Park for five years but allowed his £68m release clause to lapse last week.
He featured in Palace’s goalless draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where his prolonged applause to the travelling fans was widely interpreted as a farewell gesture.
Should the deal be finalised, Tottenham will land one of the Premier League’s most inventive midfielders at a critical juncture of their campaign.
