Decisive Contribution

The 29-year-old claimed his first goal contribution of the season, delivering the pinpoint assist that allowed substitute Emile Smith Rowe to score the late equaliser. His vision and execution in the final moments earned him the “Man of the Match” award and widespread praise from fans and pundits.
Speaking after the game, Iwobi said Fulham were determined to build on last season’s record-breaking campaign, where they finished 11th with 54 points.
“To get more points than we did last season, we broke the record, so we aim to break it again and hopefully challenge for a European spot,” Iwobi told the Premier League.
Fulham’s Growing Ambition
The Nigerian midfielder emphasized the importance of teamwork and squad depth in their push for greater success.
“We knew the difference could be made off the bench, it happened in the last game. It’s better to not lose, and we got that point against a good team,” he explained.
Reflecting on his assist, Iwobi added: “I was aiming for Raul! I know he makes that run in behind as well, so I just put it in that area and I trust him to get onto the ball.”
With Iwobi’s creativity and confidence, Fulham fans are hopeful that this season could deliver more memorable performances, and perhaps the long-awaited dream of European football.
