Bayern Munich are making a strong push to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.
Reports suggest the German champions have tabled a loan deal that includes an option to make the move permanent next summer.
The Bavarian club wants to strengthen its attack ahead of the new season, and Lookman is seen as a key target after his impressive performances in Italy and in European competition.
Deal Structure and Negotiations
According to transfer expert David Ornstein, Bayern’s offer comes with a sizeable loan fee to be paid immediately.
The package also includes an option to buy at the end of the season for a high transfer fee.
This structure allows Bayern to assess the player over the campaign while giving Atalanta a financial guarantee.

Multiple reports indicate that negotiations are ongoing, and while Bayern are leading the race, other clubs remain interested.
Tottenham and Galatasaray Join the Chase
Bayern are not alone in this pursuit. English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and Turkish champions Galatasaray have also made approaches.
Both clubs believe Lookman can bring extra creativity and pace to their attacking lineups.
However, Bayern’s financial strength and consistent presence in the UEFA Champions League give them a clear edge as discussions move into the final hours of the transfer window.
Lookman Open to Move
The Nigerian forward is said to be open to leaving Atalanta.
Sources close to the player reveal he wants to test himself at a higher level after helping the Italian side win the UEFA Europa League last season.
Lookman has been in fine form for club and country, with memorable performances for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
