Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi recently shared details of his encounter with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen in a hotel room following widespread criticisms he faced on social media after Nigeria’s AFCON final defeat to host nation Ivory Coast.

Reports indicated that Iwobi opted to step away from social media due to the barrage of criticism he received, with many Nigerians singling him out as a key factor in the team’s midfield struggles that contributed to the loss against Ivory Coast in the final.

Sports Buddy, in previous news, reported that Alex Iwobi returned to social media after a brief absence, marking his comeback by sharing a video on Instagram with a snippet of what seems to be his unreleased rap song, reflecting on his journey and resilience despite facing doubters along the way, with the caption “Dey said I wasn’t good enough.”
