Reports have emerged indicating that Angel Di Maria’s family has been threatened with death if the player decides to return to Rosario, Argentina
The winger, 36, departed his hometown of Rosario, Argentina, after featuring in 36 matches for Rosario Central in 2007, when he signed for Benfica.
Subsequently, he embarked on a successful career playing for renowned clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

Despite his status as an icon in Argentina, Angel Di Maria’s family has been subjected to a disturbing threat.
According to reports from Mdzol.com, a note was thrown at one of the entrances to the private neighborhood of Miraflores in Rosario.

What’s next for Di Maria?
The note, allegedly tossed from a grey car at 2:30 am, contained a chilling message: “Tell your son Angel not to return to Rosario again because otherwise we will screw him up by killing a family member.”
The threatening note further escalated, stating, “Not even Pullaro is going to save you. We don’t throw away pieces of paper. We throw lead and dead people.”

The mention of “Pullaro” refers to Maximiliano Pullaro, the Governor of Santa Fe Province. Police seized the note, and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
However, the motive behind targeting the footballer remains unclear at this time.
The horrific ordeal for Di Maria and his family comes just 12 months after the front of a Rosario supermarket chain owned by the family of Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo was shot at.
A message was later found at the scene which read: “Messi, we are waiting for you.
