Arsenal is monitoring at least two Super Eagles strikers in anticipation of the summer transfer window.
Super Eagles strikers included in Arsenal’s 10-man shortlist
According to reports, the Gunners’ director of football, Edu Gasper, has already assembled a 10-man shortlist, which features Nigerian forwards Victor Osimhen from Napoli and Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen.
Joining them on the radar are Ivan Toney, Alexander Isak, and Viktor Gyokeres, all regarded as goal-scoring assets for Sporting CP. Arsenal, who currently lead the Premier League with 70 goals, are planning for a shift in tactics next season under manager Mikel Arteta.
While Arteta has utilized Kai Havertz as a false nine due to Gabriel Jesus’ injury, the team intends to revert to a traditional number nine system.

Osimhen, ranked eighth in the 2023 Ballon d’Or list, played a pivotal role in Napoli’s Serie A triumph last season, netting 26 goals. Despite a slightly reduced tally of 13 goals this season, he remains highly sought after in Europe.

Meanwhile, Boniface has contributed 16 goals and nine assists for Bayer Leverkusen this campaign, though he has been sidelined since December with a groin injury. Nevertheless, his return coincides with Leverkusen’s push to challenge Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.
