The English Premier League Golden Boot Race has taken an interesting turn as Cole Palmer leaps five spots to join Manchester City striker Erling Haaland at the summit, both boasting twenty goals each.

Chelsea’s Summer Gamble Pays Off

Chelsea summer signing Cole Palmer has no doubt proven to be a good bargain for the Blues.

Palmer, who was signed from Manchester City for £40 million with £2.5 million in add-ons, in the summer raised eyebrows as people criticized Chelsea for paying that much to sign a youngster who isn’t proven.

The gamble however paid off as the 21-year-old winger has repaid such faith with stellar performances, culminating in numerous goal contributions this season.

Palmer, before the Everton game this evening had sixteen goals, behind, Erling Haaland, Olie Watkins, Mohammed Salah, Dominic Solanke, and Alexander Isak.

The talented winger has, however, disrupted this leaderboard, as he climbs up to join Erling Haaland at twenty goals, after scoring four goals against Sean Dyche’s Everton.
