The veteran midfielder, in his twilight football days has appeared for the gallaticos this season 28 times, including 16 starts, scoring one goal and providing six assists.
The one time Ballon d’or winner, who is considered by many, one of the greatest midfielders of all time has received praises from many football personalities on how he still plays at the highest level, despite his age.
However, he gradually begins to pave way for younger midfielders in Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchoameni which has taken a toll on his playing time.
Modric edging towards Madrid exit
