Manchester United new co-owner Sir Jim Ractiffe addresses talks surrounding Mason Greenwood’s situations at the club.
The England forward was placed under suspension in January 2022 following his apprehension on charges of sexually assaulting his girlfriend.
Greenwood was charged with several offenses that were later dropped. He was then sent on loan to Getafe in Spain until the end of the season in September, after Manchester United probed into his behaviour, with claims that he would never play for the club again.
Speaking for the first time since his 25 percent ownership of the club was confirmed, Sir Jim Ratcliffe weighs in on the 22-year-old striker’s situation.
Ratcliffe told the BBC, as reported by dailymail, ‘’We need to look at facts, judge fairly and take into consideration what the values of the club are. Then we come out of that with a decision. It is not appropriate for me to comment on Mason Greenwood.’’
Greenwood’s Getafe record
Greenwood, who was signed by Spanish club Getafe in September has settled in perfectly, scoring seven goals and making five assists in twenty four games.
Since Greenwood’s suspension from the club the Red Devils have spent hugely to recruit players into the attacking position, with Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund and Brazilian winger Anthony, taking a huge chunk of total money spent on attackers during this period.
Man Utd sits at sixth position on the English Premier League table, eliminated from the Carabao Cup and UEFA Champions league. They welcome West London Club, Fulham this Saturday at Old Trafford.
