Lionel Messi scored his first MLS goal of the new season in the last minute of their 1-1 draw against LA Galaxy.
The World Cup winner opened his account for the new season with a sliding left boot inside the goal area, with an assist from fellow ex-Barcelona teammate, Jordi Alba to rescue Inter Miami and force a 1-1 draw against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday night in Carson, California.

Los Angeles Galaxy dominated the game for the most part and were rewarded with a 75th minute goal from forward Dejan Jovelji, who scored the game’s opening goal. Messi’s 91st minute goal saved Gerardo Martino’s team from seeing their first defeat of the season.
