Manchester City defender Kyle Walker revealed in a recent interview who he believes is a better goalscorer than his teammate Erling Haaland.
Kyle Walker picks Bale
Walker lauded former Spurs teammate Gareth Bale, who started as a left-back for the North London club, describing him as a superior finisher compared to Erling Haaland.
Despite both players contributing significantly to City’s treble-winning campaign last season, Walker believes that Bale’s finishing ability surpasses that of Haaland. Walker and Bale previously played together at Tottenham Hotspur for four seasons before Bale’s transfer to Real Madrid in 2013.

During Bale’s final season in England, particularly the 2012–13 season, he scored 21 goals in the Premier League, leaving a lasting impression on the league and establishing himself as a Premier League icon.
Kyle Walker praises Bale’s scoring prowess
In a recent interview on the FIVE podcast, hosted by former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand, Walker expressed his admiration for Bale’s exceptional scoring form during the 2012–13 season.

Following his remarkable stint at Tottenham, Bale continued to showcase his scoring prowess in Spain, netting 22 goals in all competitions during his debut season with Real Madrid in 2013/14. Despite playing alongside top-class scorers like Haaland, Walker’s praise for Bale’s finishing skills underscores the enduring impact the Welsh forward had on his former teammates.
“I have never played with a better player than Bale in 2012/13. I have played with scorers like Erling Haaland, but everything Bale hit that season, and from anywhere, it was in the back of the net!”, he said.
