Bayern Munich Pumped for Arsenal Return Leg, Home Crowd Fired Up
Eric Dier, a former Tottenham defender now playing for Bayern Munich, believes the electric atmosphere at the Allianz Arena will be a huge advantage against Arsenal in the Champions League second leg.
Dier Claims Bayern Regrouped and Ready
Reports from The Mirror stated that Dier feels his team has rediscovered its belief and confidence after defeating Cologne in the Bundesliga.
This win comes ahead of their crucial Champions League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday.
Notably, the victory against Cologne marked Bayern’s first clean sheet in ten matches.
However, they did lose Kingsley Coman to injury, who joins Serge Gnabry on the sidelines for the Arsenal game.
Dier emphasized the importance of collective defending and high energy from the entire Bayern team.
He also acknowledged the significant role the home crowd will play:
“We have to defend as a collective on Wednesday and show the right energy. The atmosphere and the support from our fans will definitely be outstanding, and that’s going to help. I’m really excited about it.”
Bayern Veterans Share the Enthusiasm
Veteran Bayern player Thomas Muller echoed Dier’s sentiment, highlighting the positive energy from the fans during the Cologne match. “You could tell when we stood in front of the fans,” Muller said.

“They can’t wait for Wednesday and neither can we. We all know how important this is. I hope we can experience a fantastic night of football. The great thing about this situation is that the team that wins will actually progress.”
With both teams and their supporters eager for victory, the stage is set for an intense and thrilling Champions League encounter at the Allianz Arena.
