Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has cautioned his players that they cannot secure the championship if they replicate their performance against Crystal Palace.
The Reds succumbed to a defeat at Anfield for the first time since October 2022, with Eberechi Eze’s first-half goal standing as the decider. This loss followed a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-final first leg just days earlier.
Liverpool currently occupies the third position in the Premier League, trailing leaders Manchester City by two points, with six matches remaining.
Jurgen Klopp urges Liverpool’s improvement for title contention
Klopp emphasized the need for improved performance, stating that Liverpool cannot win the league if they play like they did in the first half against Crystal Palace. He stressed the importance of replicating the second-half performance to secure victories and highlighted the significance of capitalizing on opportunities when their rivals face challenges.

“I am not dumb. The answer is pretty easy: if we play like we did in the first half, how should we win the league?
“If we play it like in the second half, we can win football games. We have to be around when the other guys struggle – if they struggle,” he said, as per All football.
