Bolt’s Challenge to Mbappe
Eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt recently proposed a charity race between himself and French forward Kylian Mbappe.
Bolt, expressing his admiration for Mbappe, suggested the idea during an interview, inspired by the forward’s prowess on the field.
Kylian Mbappe’s response
At a promotional event organized by Nike and his foundation, ‘Inspired by KM,’ Kylian Mbappe addressed Bolt’s challenge.
The Paris Saint-Germain star acknowledged Bolt’s admiration, stating it was “gratifying” to inspire the legendary sprinter. However, Mbappe confessed his doubts about his chances in a 100-meter race against the lightning-fast Bolt.

“He inspired everyone too and I think that everyone has woken up late in the night to watch one of Usain Bolt’s races. I can say that it’s reciprocal and that I started to admire him first,” the PSG forward said, as per The Mirror.
“It would be fun, why not one day if we both have the time, do something nice […] I don’t expect much from the result,” he added.
Bolt’s 100-meter legacy

Bolt’s legacy in the 100-meter sprint endures, as he still holds the world record with a remarkable time of 9.58 seconds, set during the World Athletics Championship final in Berlin in August 2009.
Additionally, he secured the second-fastest time in history, with Tyson Gay and Yohan Blake sharing the joint-third position.
