According to reports, Victor Osimhen is awaiting an offer from Arsenal as Napoli looks to cash in on the £102 million-rated striker.
With Antonio Conte’s arrival at Napoli, Osimhen could be on his way out, as it is believed the former Chelsea manager would be looking to acquire a more physical striker.
Previous reports suggested Chelsea were strongly linked with the 25-year-old striker, but it looks like the deal is now off the table as both clubs could not reach an agreement.
With Cheslea out of the equation, it now leaves the Gunners as favourites to sign Osimhen. It is understood that the former Lille striker would like to play for a Premier League club in London.
Arsenal, however, are looking to sign a cheaper striker in RB Leibzig’s Benjamin Sesko, who is regarded as Mikel Arteta’s preferred option, as per Sports Buddy.
Arsenal fans beg Arteta to sign Victor Osimhen
According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal supporters on social media seem to be more thrilled about the rumors of signing Victor Osimhen.
One pleaded, “Arteta, make this happen.”
Another commented, “To be honest I would prefer Osimhen to Sesko.”
Some fans, however, disagreed with the idea of spending more than £100 million on only one player.
“Naaaaahhh!!! Not at that price, man,” said one.
