Germany’s Euro 2024 plans are in disarray following reports of a fight between Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger and Niclas Fullkrug at the training facility.
It is said that during a public training session in front of 4,000 onlookers, the two celebrities nearly got into a brawl.
Antonio Rudiger’s altercation with teammate
The two players, who are both 31 years old, were opponents during a crossing exercise, as reported by The Sun.
According to the claims, they were tackling each other repeatedly when Fullkrug, still on the ground, swore at Real Madrid center-back Rudiger.
“Blow the whistle already,” the Borussia Dortmund striker is said to have said to head coach Mads Buttgereit at that point.
The story continues by stating that after that, the two shoved each other and “almost came to blows.” Sandro Wagner, the assistant coach, reportedly had to intervene to keep the two players apart.
Following a drinks break, the squad found both players to be “still upset”. Then it is said that Fullkrug “angrily” strode past Rudiger and Wagner.
The former Chelsea star then decided to go for a run with the athletic trainer rather than resume training.
However, the issue has been resolved, and neither party harbors animosity against the other.
