Major media houses have come under fire of late from fans following a recurring pattern observed in some of their reports.
Sports Buddy previously reported that many media outlets were slammed after Arsenal winger Bukayo was used as the poster boy following the Three Lion’s disappointing defeat to Iceland last Friday, despite playing just 25 minutes.
Fans expressed dissatisfaction, as they interpreted it as some sort of racist treatment of the 22-year-old England international. In defense of Saka, others referred to a certain situation where Jack Grealish was used as the poster boy in one of England’s wins instead of the Arsenal winger who bagged a hat-trick in that game.

This act was criticised by many supporters, including notable figures like Lewis Hamilton, as a call for change was demanded.
In a recent report from Sky Sports posted on X, The Black Footballers Partnership also condemned such an act, which has been a trend for some time, referring to the Raheem Sterling incident in 2018.

Fans compare Ademola Lookman to Saka incident

Fans on social media have accused Sky Sports’ of the same behavior, as they dug out a report of Atalanta’s Europa League triumph. Teun Koopmeiners and Gianluca Scamacca were used as poster boys instead of Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, who bagged a hattrick in that game to help the club win their first European trophy, and fans have compared this to the Saka incident.
A fan said, ”Like when you posted this graphic while knowing Ademola Lookman scored a hatric for Atalanta,” responding to Sky Sports’ post and comparing it to the Arsenal man’s treatment, while labelling the media outlet guilty of the same act.
