Jose Mourinho has given his prediction for the Euro 2024 tournament as he picks favourites to win the competition.
The host country, Germany, will play Scotland in Munich on Friday night to begin the month-long competition with a bang.
Although they will face fierce opposition from many other elite European teams, the hosts are among the favorites to win the title on July 14 as they continue their resurgence under Julian Nagelsmann.
While speaking with TNT Sports at Wembley, Mourinho backed a familiar team to win Euro 2024 when asked about his opinion on the tournament.

According to him, Portugal—his own country—will win the tournament in Germany, with England falling short.
The newly appointed Fenerbahce boss believes that Gareth Southgate’s squad will finish in second place—a repeat of the 2020 European Championship.
What Mourinho said
When asked to name an unexpected winner, Mourinho responded, “Anyone outside of Portugal, France, and England because I think these three are the favorites.”
”I think anyone who comes outside these three, even countries like Germany or whatever, anyone outside of these three for me.”
He then focused on a few of England’s top players, supporting Harry Kane, his former player from their Tottenham days, to win the tournament’s Golden Boot.
