It’s possible that Lionel Messi is the greatest soccer player ever. Even so, ‘GOATS’ still have admiration for the elite players in other sports, and the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner is no different, as he dreams of meeting one of NBA’s greatest ever.
Messi got to know NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a top player, a few months back during an Inter Miami-Sporting KC game. Additionally, he has already met LeBron James many times.
Despite having met the greatest of the best, he still has one iconic athlete on his bucket list: Michael Jordan.
Lionel Messi reveals admiration for Michael Jordan
Messi revealed in a recent interview with ESPN Argentina that Michael Jordan is the athlete he would like to have a photo with.
“From the sports world, I would like to have a photo with [Michael] Jordan. Meet him and take a photo with him,” the Argentine captain said.
Messi has a strong passion for basketball. He has made no secret of his admiration for LeBron James and Stephen Curry.
Additionally, an old teammate, Kevin Prince-Boateng, previously disclosed that Messi enjoyed shooting baskets in his free time between practices.
