Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon was spotted at Engalnd‘s training session on Thursday with a serious cut on his chin during the team’s training session.
Gordon’s accident at England’s training
According to reports, the England international sustained the injury while riding his bike at England’s training facility on Wednesday.
Preparing for their Euro 2024 quarterfinal match against Slovakia on Sunday, the winger was upbeat despite suffering many wounds to his wrists and nose during practice on Thursday.
A few team members were seen taking a break from training by riding their bikes along the rural routes that encircle the resort.
While Phil Foden was not spotted with the team, Declan Rice and Kieran Trippier were working on their own personal training routines.
Gordon’s Euro 2024
Gordon was part of Gareth Southgate’s 26-man list selected for Euro 2024. The talented winger, who had an impressive 2023–2034 league campaign, has, however, seen very limited game time in this Euro tournament.
The 23-year-old attacker was brought in as a replacement for Foden in the Three Lions’s last group game against Slovenia, and many pundits and legends have suggested he needs to get more playing time down the left wing, considering his abilities.
