Spain’s wonderkid Lamine Yamal found out his school exams results on the same fateful day he was preparing for Spain’s last-16 match at the Euro 2024.
Another tournament star, Yamal, succeeded in passing 4th year ESO examination. He was captured doing his homework and attending online classes earlier this month during the tournament.
Celebrating Success
Apparently, according to Cadena Cope, Yamal called his mother after he was informed that he had passed his exams.
Earlier he has cracked jokes that due to Euro Cup if he has to get his grades they will have to send it online saying, “I guess they’ll have to send me my grades online because it all depends on how far we go in the Euro Cup. If we make it to the final, I won’t be able to attend classes anymore.”
Youngest Euro Player
Yamal also took his homework to the tournament in order to combine studying with professional footballer life.
He said, “This is my homework because am in the 4th year of ESO, though I also have online classes which are also effective.”
Yamal was making his debut in the European Championships starting in Spain against Croatia where he became Spain’s youngest debutant.
He signed a deal with Barcelona when he was 15 years and he was in the national team squad for the first time in September 2023 and he even netted a goal in his first international match against Georgia.
