A friendly match turned violent, forcing Fernabache boss Jose Mourinho and HNK Hajduk Split manager Gennaro Gattuso to step in and separate their players.
The goal of the friendly game was for Mourinho’s team, which included a defender from the Super Eagles, to gain some preseason experience and improve their level of fitness.
The game which featured Nigerian international Bright Osayi Samuel had erupted into a heated brawl as tension grew between both teams.
Despite an outstanding performance from Osayi-Samuel, the Croatian team led by Serie A star Gennaro Gattuso prevailed 1-0.

However, it was the fight that captured the most attention, overshadowing the football actions itself. The scenes became so intense that Mourinho, and Gattuso had to intervene and physically separate their players.
A video footage captured Gattuso shoving away a couple of his players who had confronted a Fenerbache player has gone viral on social media.

Mourinho is seen imploring with his team to calm down and stop the situation from getting worse at the same moment.
Osayi-Samuel’s impressive display despite defeat

Despite the unpleasant scene, Osayi-Samuel managed to deliver a standout performance, winning the most duels, completed the most dribbles, and maintaining a 91% pass accuracy rate.
The Nigerian, in addition to these impressive stats also made three recoveries and won two tackles.
