Former Golden Eaglet striker Stanley Iheanacho has joined Liga Portugal 2 club Clube Desportivo de Mafra, as announced on the club’s official website.

The young talented forward signed a five-year contract with the Portuguese, a year after making his debut with Danish Superliga team FC Midtjylland.
The 19-year-old made a big impression on his FC Midtjylland debut in September 2023 when he scored four goals against Aabenraa BK in a Cup match.
Despite his impressive debut for Midtjylland, he was unable to establish himself in the main squad and left the Central Jutland club without making an appearance in the top division of Denmark.
Iheanacho appeared in four UEFA Youth League games and was a key player for the young team that won the U19 Boys League the previous season. He scored 12 goals in 22 games.
He is an product of FC Hearts, an Abuja-based academy that also produced Ifeanyi Mathew and former Nigeria U17 captain Musa Muhammed.
Meanwhile, Sports Buddy reported in other news that Premier League giants Arsenal have signed two Nigerian players ahead of the 2024-2025 season. Transfer expert Jeorge Bird revealed that box-to-box midfielder Andre Annous and dynamic midfielder Ifeoluwa Ibrahim, recently signed with the North-London club.
