Victor Osimhen has broken a long-standing record at Galatasaray following his productive display against Kasimpasa at the Rams Park on Saturday evening.
The Super Eagles striker executed a composed finish after meeting a perfect cross from Abdulkerim Bardakci to open the scoring for Okan Buruk’s side in the 20th minute.
He then went on to complete his brace eight minutes later, unleashing a venomous strike home from a sublime pass Gabriel Sara.
Osimhen breaks 7-year record

Having registered two assists in his first two league games, Osimhen, after his brace, became the first Galatasaray player to register four or more goal contributions in his first three games in the Super Lig since Bafetimbi Gomis in 2017, according to OPTA.
Mauro Icardi went on to grab the third for the Cimbom Asians in the 34th minute, before Kasimpasa managed to pull one back.
Osimhen would then see his supposed ‘perfect night’ marred with injury as he requests to be substituted at halftime.
His woes were further compounded after seeing his brace get off to little effect, as a three-goal lead would later result in just one point for the Turkish champions.
