Former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has responded to claims that he is currently having an affair with his late son’s 23-year-old girl friend.
The 48-year-old slammed recent reports claiming his current girlfriend, Sophia Schneiderha, had previously dated his late son, Emiliano.
Ballack took to social media to vent his frustration at the false information, stating that their relationship is not what has been reported by the media.

Michael Ballack clarifies rumours surrounding relationship
In an Instagram post featuring himself and Sophia, Ballack made clarifications, stating,
“Due to recent media reports, I feel compelled to make the following clarification: My life partner Sophia is neither my late son’s ex-girlfriend nor was she friends with him.
The former Germany international also stated that he intends to take legal action against the authors of such reports.
“We will take legal action against these untruths and ask that you respect our privacy,” he added.
