Manchester United boss José Mourinho has hinted that if Manchester City are found to have breached financial rules, then he may be owed a Premier League winners’ medal and bonus.
City are under investigation by the Premier League for 115 alleged breaches of financial rules and the 2017-18 season — when City won the title from Mourinho’s United.
If City are punished, the Portuguese manager humorously suggested United could be awarded the title retrospectively.

Manchester City Potential Sanction
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Fenerbahce’s Europa League clash with United, Mourinho joked: And I think we still have a chance to win that [2017-18] league.
“Maybe they punish Manchester City with points, we win that league. They have to pay me the bonus and give me the medal.”
Mourinho’s remarks reflect the ongoing uncertainty surrounding City’s financial investigations, though no official decisions have been made yet.
In a previous report from Sports Buddy, José Mourinho has named his old club alongside Tottenham as the favourites to win the Europa League.

Manchester United, who stand to face their former manager in Turkey, will be looking for their first Europa League win of the season.
Familiar faces like Fred and Amrabat will face them, but they’ll be without their captain Bruno Fernandes, after he was sent off in the draw with Porto.
