One of Nigeria’s most exciting young talents, Chidimma Nwokedi, has officially joined Chelsea’s youth team.
The goal-machine, who is eligible to represent Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has sealed a move to the English champions’ academy after recording an unbelievable 203 goals in only 62 matches.
The teenage sensation confirmed her transfer on social media, sharing the exciting news with fans and followers. “Grateful to be signing on for Chelsea U15s this year,” she wrote on Instagram on July 23.
Nwokedi’s arrival at Chelsea marks a big step in her career, as she joins one of the most competitive women’s academies in Europe. Her move from Cray Wanderers Women’s academy comes after a string of stunning performances that turned heads across the youth football world.
A Goal Machine in Every Match
Chidimma was no ordinary striker at Cray Wanderers. During the 2022-2023 season, she scored 153 goals and helped her side win two youth titles, the Junior Premier League U12 and the Tandridge League U13.
She continued to break records and impress fans with her goal-scoring instincts and sharp eye for the net.
Her most talked-about moment came in September 2024 when she grabbed a hat-trick in a tough cup match against a boys’ team from Division 1.
The performance put her name on the radar of top clubs, and Chelsea wasted no time in getting her signature.
