Inter Milan’s chase for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is not over, but it just hit another roadblock. The Italian giants made a new offer to sign the Atalanta star, hoping to seal the deal before the new season kicks off. But Atalanta have said no once again.

The fresh bid from Inter was worth 40 million euros, with an extra 5 million in possible bonuses. Despite the improved offer, the two clubs have not reached an agreement. Atalanta are standing firm and want at least 50 million euros for the player.

Inter are not giving up. They want to add more firepower to their attack, and Lookman is now their top target.

Why Inter Want Lookman So Badly?

Ademola Lookman had a great season last year. He scored and assisted a total of 27 goals in all competitions. His speed, creativity and sharp finishing made him one of the best forwards in the Italian league.

Inter believe he can bring a new spark to their front line. With the new season near, they are working hard to get the deal done in time.

Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for just 11 million euros. Since then, his value has grown. Atalanta know his worth and are not willing to let him go for less than their asking price.

The 27 year old still has a contract with Atalanta that runs until 2027. This gives the club a strong position in the talks. They are in no rush to sell and are ready to wait for the right offer.
