Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly pushing for a transfer to Chelsea before the summer window closes.

The Manchester United winger, deemed surplus to requirements under new manager Ruben Amorim, has allegedly told the club he would rather join Chelsea this summer than spend the next 6–12 months on the bench at Old Trafford.

The Argentina international is said to have agreed personal terms with the Blues, leaving the clubs to settle on a transfer fee. Manchester United are holding out for around £50 million.

Former Scotland striker and television pundit Ally McCoist has urged Chelsea to avoid signing Garnacho, claiming the move is unnecessary at this time. Speaking on talkSPORT, McCoist said:

  • “I’m not having it, no. Man United are desperately trying to get rid of him. Stay away. I don’t think Chelsea need him at this moment in time.

Uncertain Future for Garnacho

With the Premier League kicking off this weekend, Garnacho’s future remains in limbo. If no deal is reached, he could start the season on the sidelines. United face Arsenal at Old Trafford in their opening match, while Chelsea welcome Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge.
