An end may finally be in sight for Kelechi Iheanacho’s transfer saga, as reports from Spain confirm that the Nigerian striker has agreed personal terms with Turkish Super Lig side “Samsunspor”.
According to report, The Turkish club are prepared to meet Sevilla’s €3.5 million demand for the Super Eagles forward, making them frontrunners ahead of rivals like Besiktas.
Why Iheanacho Is Leaving Sevilla
As reported by Sport buddy, Iheanacho was allegedly involved in a confrontation with Sevilla fans. Despite impressing in pre-season and receiving praise from Sevilla’s head coach, Mathias Almeyda, Iheanacho remained on the club’s transfer list.
Before Samsunspor’s decisive move, the 27-year-old was close to a deal with Mexican side Pumas, but negotiations fell through. Samsunspor have now stepped in, offering Iheanacho a contract worth €1.5 million annually until 2027.

If the deal goes through, Iheanacho will be joining a growing number of Nigerian internationals in Turkey. This summer alone, Victor Osimhen, Wilfred Ndidi, Paul Onuachu, and Henry Onyekuru all secured moves to the division.
