Chelsea Football Club has agreed a £40 million deal to sign Manchester United’s exciting young winger Alejandro Garnacho.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 21-year-old Argentine international is set to undergo a medical on Friday and sign a contract until 2032, marking one of the most high-profile moves of the summer transfer window.

Garnacho’s move follows a turbulent relationship with United manager Ruben Amorim, paving the way for his fresh start at Stamford Bridge.
A Breakdown in Relations at Old Trafford
Garnacho’s departure from Manchester United stems from a fallout with head coach Ruben Amorim, which reached a boiling point after the UEFA Europa League final defeat to Tottenham in May 2025.
Garnacho, who was introduced as a 71st-minute substitute, publicly expressed frustration at his limited role, stating, “Up until the final, I’ve played every round, and today to play 20 minutes… I don’t know.”
