Spain’s captain and Euro 2024 winner, Alvaro Morata, has announced that he and his model wife, Alice Campello have split, just a few days after joining Italian club AC Milan.
Morata just completed a $14.17 million, four-year transfer from Atletico Madrid to Milan. There have been suspicions of a rift in the Spanish striker’s marriage, as he was pictured without his wedding ring while signing autographs and taking photos with Milan supporters.

Things seemed to have been going smoothly for the former Chelsea star and his wife about a month ago, during the celebration of Spain winning Euro 2024.
Alice came onto the pitch to share a kiss with the Spanish captain, who led La Roja to their fourth European Championship.

This had come days after Morata had threatened to quit the Spanish national team after the Euros due to nonsense criticism and disrespect for his family.
Also, the pair recently shared a number of adorable photos of themselves together while on vacation.

However, just a few weeks later, their break-up was confirmed via a message from Morata on Instagram.
“After some time of reflection, Alice and I have made the decision to part ways.
“A wonderful and respectful reciprocal relationship where we have loved and helped each other a lot. They have been wonderful years and the result of them is our four children, who are undoubtedly the best thing we have ever done.”
“It is a painful decision, after which we ask for respect and empathy.
“Please don’t invent any rumours, because I repeat – there have been no breaches of trust, just a lot of continuous misunderstandings that have little by little worn things down.
“Alice will always have a special place in my heart and the time that we have spent together has been incredible and a great learning experience,” he wrote, as quoted by The Sun.
Morata’s message is a confirmation that puts an end to an eight-year marriage that has produced four children.
