Chelsea’s Interest and Osimhen’s Stance

Chelsea recently emerged as a serious contender for Osimhen’s signature, especially after negotiations between Napoli and PSG reportedly stalled.

The Blues are said to be exploring a potential loan deal with an option to buy, which could involve Romelu Lukaku heading to Napoli as part of the exchange.

However, Victor Osimhen has expressed a desire to leave Napoli this summer and has reportedly rejected the idea of a loan move, insisting on a permanent transfer instead.

Amid the ongoing uncertainty surrounding Osimhen’s future, Shaka Hislop offered his perspective during an ESPN broadcast on YouTube.

He encouraged the Nigerian striker to consider Arsenal, suggesting that the Gunners would be a better fit for him than Chelsea.

Hislop stated, “Anywhere at this point. I think he will be great at Arsenal,” highlighting Arsenal’s need for a top-quality striker during the summer window.

Victor Osimhen signed a contract extension with Napoli in December 2023, which reportedly includes a release clause set between €120 million and €130 million.

Despite this, his future at Napoli remains uncertain, as many European clubs are hesitant to meet such a high valuation.

Despite Troos-Ekong claiming to know the next move of his National team colleague as reported by Sportsbuddy, as the summer transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen where the prolific striker will end up, but Hislop’s advice suggests that a move to Arsenal could be an ideal next step for Osimhen.
