In a recent statement, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Justin Magudu as the interim coach of the Super Falcons after Randy Waldrum resigned.
After Nigeria’s inability to go far in the 2024 Olympics, Waldrum, who was in charge since 2020, departed.
Regardless of his team’s remarkable showing at the 2023 Women’s World Cup, his tenure went by without bringing back any silverware.
The decision taken by NFF was to stabilise the team.
Through a press release issued by the NFF, the appointment of Magudu confirms the federation’s effort to strengthen the Super Falcons in preparation for upcoming important international competitions.
Being familiar with the squad, Adamawa United’s ex-manager was in charge during Waldrum’s absence earlier this year, resulting in a 4-0 win over Ethiopia in an Olympic qualifier.
