Maduka Okoye’s Tribute to Dida
In an interview with Tutto Udinese, Okoye expressed his admiration for Dida, saying: “Hello Nelson, Let me introduce myself. I am a great fan of yours, I guess. It will be great if one day I am lucky enough to see you.
This means I’m hoping that you have heard of me, seen your saves, and that I can help grow and get to your level. This is my wish. Greetings.”
Dida’s Encouraging Words
Dida, who retired in 2015, has now replied to Maduka Okoye, urging the 25-year-old to stay focused and keep working hard:
“He is a special player, a goalkeeper who may be able to do much in this championship. What I said to him is that this is a hard league, and there are many things in the background that need to be addressed.
He has to set his mind towards his work and what he is capable of doing. Dida added:
“What I have to advise would be to train and work hard because work does come with its rewards.” He is a goalkeeper that I like a lot and who can achieve a lot in this league.”
Okoye’s Future
As encouraged by Dida, Okoye will be hoping to further his developmental process at Udinese since joining the club to gain experience in Serie A.
