Mourinho reiterated his stance when speaking to Sky Sports F1’s Naomi Schiff.

He said: “I am [an F1 fan] but because of my life in football it is hard to go to Grand Prix so it’s a good opportunity.

“I hope so (to be back in management). Roma was great because we had two European finals in two years and that’s hard in a club that never did it.

“Now I have to wait for the right opportunity I don’t want to rush but I want to work tomorrow if possible but I don’t want to make the wrong decision.”
