Chelsea Supporter Shares Discussion with Jose Mourinho Regarding Potential Comeback to the Blues
A football enthusiast’s viral social media post recounts an intriguing encounter with ex-Roma manager Jose Mourinho according to Sportbrief, who was reportedly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 8 for the Egypt Cup final clash between Zamalek and Al Ahly.
A Chelsea supporter, known as @Sirshargi, posted a picture on X, standing with the former Roma manager.
However, it was the caption that drew attention, as the fan claimed to have had a brief conversation with Mourinho, inquiring about the prospect of a third and potentially final stint as Chelsea manager.
What the fan said
The fan continued, saying, “Yes, Jose, we want you to return to the team so that the glories can return.
What if an offer was made to you in the summer, would you come?” The fan added emojis, suggesting Mourinho simply shrugged in response.
Mourinho’s history at Chelsea includes a successful first stint from 2004, winning two Premier League titles, followed by a second stint in 2013, securing another Premier League title in 2015. However, he was sacked in 2007 during his first tenure, as per Transfermarkt.
Jose Mourinho previous stints in the Premier league
Jose Mourinho has had managerial spells with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, but he has been unable to replicate the success he enjoyed with Chelsea.
In the current 2023/24 season, Chelsea, under Mauricio Pochettino, have faced challenges and currently sit in 11th place after 26 games.
Speculation about Pochettino’s potential dismissal is fueled by torrid performances, and reports suggest his fate may hinge on factors like having a strong finish to the season, as per Football 365.
