Real Madrid triumph in first-leg: Leipzig mount comeback effort
Real Madrid secured victory in the first leg thanks to a goal from Brahim Diaz. However, they had a sluggish start in the second leg, failing to register a shot on target in the first half. Vinicius Junior doubled their aggregate lead to 2-0 with a well-executed goal assisted by Jude Bellingham.

Leipzig captain Willi Orban responded swiftly, heading his team back into contention just three minutes later after a superb cross from David Raum. Marco Rose’s side came agonizingly close to leveling the aggregate score with a Dani Olmo attempt that struck the crossbar in the dying moments of the game.

Jamie Carragher, reacting on CBS Sports, seeing this performance, claimed Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Arsenal are better than Real Madrid in this season’s Champions League.
“I do feel they’re a long way short of certainly Manchester City, and maybe Inter Milan and Arsenal.
“I don’t think they’re up there when it comes to the best teams in Europe right now,” Carragher said, as per daily post
