Arsenal defender Ben White received praise from fans for a clever display of gamesmanship before the Gunner’s opening goal against Spurs.
The Arsenal defender employed a creative tactic to disrupt Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as the Gunners prepared to take a corner during the North London Derby. White positioned himself next to Vicario, and, in addition to the customary jostling, he seemed to attempt to loosen the keeper’s gloves.
Despite Vicario’s attempts to push White away, the Arsenal player persisted with his tactics.
Moments later, Arsenal capitalized on the situation as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg inadvertently directed the ball into his own net from the resulting corner, leaving Vicario unable to intervene.
