Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has made Barcelona history during the Catalan giants’ clash against Rayo Vallecano, by becoming the youngest player ever to make 50 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Lamine Yamal hits 50 caps for Barcelona
The youngster made his 50th appearance for Barcelona in all competitions during the penultimate match of the 2023/24 season against Rayo Vallecano, marking the occasion with his 10th assist of the campaign.
After debuting in the 2022/23 season, Yamal has made 49 more appearances this season, reaching the milestone of 50 games played for Barcelona in all competitions.
Yamal beats Messi, Pedri, Bojan to reach 50 appearances
According to Barcelona’s official account on X, Yamal at 16 years, 10 months, and 6 days old, became the youngest player to reach this milestone for Barcelona, surpassing Bojan Krkic’s record by over a year; Krkic achieved it at 18 years and three days.

Yamal’s current teammate, Pedri Gonzalez, ranks third, having made 52 appearances in his first season at 18 years, five months, and three days. Despite being a teenage prodigy himself, club legend Lionel Messi reached 50 appearances only after his 19th birthday, more than two years later than Yamal.
