Paul Pogba’s Charitable Summer in Ivory Coast
Months after receiving a four-year doping ban, Paul Pogba is dedicating his summer break to charitable causes. The 31-year-old French footballer traveled to Ivory Coast, where he made several generous religious donations.
Paul Pogba and his former Manchester United teammate, Eric Bailly, visited various churches and mosques in Abidjan this week. According to Ivorian outlet Hits2Babi, the duo made significant donations to these religious institutions. Photos from their trip showed Pogba and Bailly being prayed for by a Catholic priest and receiving gratitude for their contributions to a mosque.
Pogba’s Commitment Amid Uncertainty
Pogba’s donations come in the wake of his four-year suspension for breaching anti-doping rules. The ban was imposed by the Italian anti-doping tribunal after a failed test in August 2023. Despite the setback, Pogba has vowed to appeal the decision, with support from his family.
While his future in football remains uncertain, Pogba is focusing on positive contributions during his time away from the sport.
