Chelsea have finalized the signing of 18-year-old forward Marc Guiu from Barcelona, highlighting the club’s youth-focused transfer strategy.
After activating Guiu’s €6 million release clause in his Barcelona contract, Chelsea have now offered the talented forward a five-plus-one year contract.

The Blues confirmed the news on the club’s website, stating that the Spaniard has agreed to a five-year contract with an option to extend for a further year.
During his unveiling, Guiu said, “It’s an immense joy to sign for Chelsea and I struggled to sleep ahead of the journey here because I was so excited.
“Ever since I was small, it was my dream to play in the Premier League. Now I have the opportunity to come here to Chelsea and I will work my hardest to be successful for the club,” as per

Marc Guiu made his first appearance for Barcelona’s first squad last season, although he was mostly involved with the B team, who nearly saw promotion to the Segunda division.
The 18-yeay-old forward scored in his senior debut against Athletic Clubthe and in the Champions League triumph against Royal Antwerp.
