Chelsea have confirmed the signing of midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City for a fee of £30 million.
The 25-year-old Foxes Academy graduate signed a six-year deal that runs until 2030.
“It is amazing to be sitting here as a Chelsea player,” Dewsbury-Hall said, as per BBC.
“This is a club people grow up watching and hoping to one day play for, so it is a privilege to be here.”
Maresca and Dewsbury-Hall’s Chelsea reunion
Dewsbury-Hall will reunite with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who won the Championship with Leicester the previous season before joining the Blues this summer.
In 44 league games during the previous season, Dewsbury-Hall tallied 12 goals and provided 12 assists, earning him the players’ player of the year and Leicester’s player of the year award.
Following the free transfer of defender Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, the £19 million acquisition of midfielder Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa, and the £5 million arrival of teenage forward Marc Guiu from Barcelona, he becomes Chelsea’s fourth summer addition.
