Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi said he has a preference for Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies and Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
Davies, who is recognized for his speed, has been awarded FIFA FIFPro World11 and several times became a member of the Bundesliga Team of the Season.
Despite not being as famous as other players on the team, Mendy is still vital for Real Madrid’s victories in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

Onyemaechi shared with EaglesTracker his admiration for these players: “Currently, it is Alphonso Davies I usually watch, any time he is playing for either Canada or Bayern Munich I enjoy watching how he moves with the ball, and how fast he is. I prefer these types of players.
” He also said, “The second one is Mendy, the one from Real Madrid: I also like this player he is my preferred left back.
Early Support for Manchester United
Onyemaechi also revealed his early football allegiances was Heartland while in Europe it was Manchester United, athough now he is a player with Portuguese side Boavista.
First choice for the left-back position in the Super Eagles team is Zaidu Sanusi whom Onyemaechi has to compete with.
He was first called up to the national team in 2022 and made his first start in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against São Tomé and Príncipe.
