Liverpool signed Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez was involved in a scuffle with the fans after the Uruguay’s Copa America elimination by Colombia Sportsbuddy.ng reports.
The tension rose even more after the final whistle with Colombia emerging as 1-0 winners thanks to Jefferson Lerma’s header in the 39th minute.

Tensions Boil Over
After the bust up on the pitch, the Uruguayan players proceeded to rush to the stands. Incredible video footage captures the 25-year-old forward with teammates, including Jose Gimenez and Ronald Araujo, as the situation escalated after the final whistle.
Following the incident, Gimenez explained on TV that the players’ families, seated near the fans, were overwhelmed by drunken supporters, leading the players to step in to protect them..

Subsequently, Nunez made an attempt to defend himself and there were videos that depicted him attacking several fans. After the feud was still, Darwin Nunez was seen consoling his son.

Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo was one of the stars caught up in the commotion and thousands of fans recorded the scene on their phones.

Security personnel quickly moved to calm the two factions and led the Uruguay players to the dressing rooms.
