English Premier League giants Manchester City have released its list of academy scholars for the coming 2024-2025 season through its official website.
Adeleke Drake Joins U18 Team
Nigerian born footballer Adeleke Drake has recently joined the Citizens on scholarship and has been moved straight to the U18 team.
The player who is also eligible to play for the Flying Eagles joined City three seasons ago from Stevenage and the new deal has been signed.
Scholarship Signing Event
Nine other first-year scholars have also agreed to their scholarship terms and conditions, including Adeleke Drake.
Manchester City issued the players club caps and the contracts were signed in the presence of family and friends in a scholar signing ceremony that was organized by the City Football Academy over the summer.
According to a recent report from Sportsbuddy, Manchester City have discovered the fixtures for the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League season, with an exciting opening assignment against Arsenal on Sunday, 22 September.
The academy coaches highly rated Adeleke especially after featuring in both The U18 Premier League and the Premier League 2 during his last year as a schoolboy.
Manchester City will hope to produce players like Tosin Adarabioyo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Nedum Onuoha, Samuel Edozie, Kevin Etuhu, and Reece Wabara who came through the youth team to the first team.
